About Us

We are a small fan studio, where fans are still made and mounted by hand. To us a fan is more than a pretty thing: worked, pleated and mounted by hand, it opens cleanly, sits well and, cared for, it lasts. That is what our work is about.

We make each fan to suit. The sticks, the leaf and the mounting all matter. We advise and make what suits you and the occasion, honestly and without fuss.

We work by hand. Shaping the sticks, preparing and mounting the leaf, pleating and finishing, step by step, with patience. It is fine, absorbing work, and that is where the difference from a machine-made fan lies.
